WELCOME COACH KIDDER
We are excited to announce Fern Kidder as the new Head Coach of our High School Boys Team!
Coach Kidder brings a wealth of experience to Waukee Lacrosse as a former collegiate player at Western Michigan University and a coach at the high school, collegiate, and national levels. His coaching background includes time with the University of Central Florida Men's Lacrosse program as well as successful high school programs in the Orlando area.
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Kidder has built a reputation for developing well-rounded student-athletes and competitive teams. His areas of expertise include player development, offensive and defensive systems, game preparation, and cultivating a strong, team-first culture. His coaching philosophy is centered on fundamentals, accountability, discipline, competitiveness, and leadership, helping players reach their full potential both on the field and in the classroom and community.
In addition to his coaching experience, Coach Kidder brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience in Human Resources, where he has led teams, developed leaders, and built high-performing organizational cultures. That leadership experience further strengthens his ability to mentor young athletes and create a positive, disciplined environment for the Waukee program.

A Note from Coach Kidder
I am incredibly honored and excited to join the Waukee Lacrosse family as the Head Coach of the Boys High School program.
Lacrosse has had a tremendous impact on my life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help develop the next generation of Waukee student-athletes. My goal is to build a program centered on hard work, accountability, discipline, and a team-first mindset while creating an environment where every player has the opportunity to improve, compete, and grow as both an athlete and a person.
Success will be measured by more than wins and losses. We will strive to develop leaders of character, teammates who trust one another, and young men who represent Waukee with pride both on and off the field. Through commitment, preparation, and a relentless work ethic, I believe we can build a program our players, families, alumni, and community are proud to support.
I look forward to meeting each of our players and families, getting to work this fall, and building something special together.
